The taste of our grill

At our cider house, you will be able to try various menus, each with a different star food: charcoal grilled chops, Spanish omelette with cod, stewed spider crab, grilled hake nape and much more! We use seasonal produce, salad tomatoes, chillies, mushrooms…We also have a vegan and children’s menu.

At Saizar Cider house you will enjoy one of the best culinary experiences linked to Basque culture.

Our dining room reflects the value that Basques have always placed on community. It is a venue to worship the food and drink from our region. A place without pretensions, where you can enjoy local cuisine with the gang.

A modest celebration of our way of being, our way of living and those wonderful moments that we enjoy so much around a table in good company.

For that reason, the protagonists of our dining room are the long tables. Here we are one and we all have fun together! In a relaxed and family atmosphere, among the enormous oak barrels, come and taste some of the most traditional dishes our region has to offer, made with the best local produce and with all of the love of the Saizar family! It’s no mean feat!

Txotx!

Over the years, we have equipped different spaces to ferment our cider. Today, these large spaces are open to the public. We want to share the magic of the process and the extraordinary taste of Euskadi with you.

Our Txotx tasting season starts in January and continues until the end of May, but our restaurant is open all year round serving lunches and evening meals every day (except Sunday evenings and all day on Mondays). Don’t miss out on this unique experience!

Our wooden cidery is open to the public so you can taste the cider, txotx style, in the most authentic way.

There will be no shortage of conversations and smiles in this unique space among kupelas (wooden barrels). That…. We can guarantee.

HOW TO GET TO SAIZAR CIDER HOUSE?

We are just a few minutes away from the centre of the charming town of Usurbil, among the mountains and intense green grassland.

You can reach our cidery easily using public transport from San Sebastián (Lurraldebus or Eusko-Tren) or by car and park without any problems at one of our premises.
